Dr Eric J Boyd

Board Certified Anesthesiologist with Subspeciality Certification in Pain Medicine

Dr Eric Boyd was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska.  He attended University of Nebraska at Omaha for his undergraduate education and graduated with honors.  Then attended University of Nebraska Medical Center for his medical degree.  Followed by internship in Internal Medicine from Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.  Followed by Residency in Anesthesiology at University of Arizona.  He then completed Fellowship in Pain Management at University of Arizona.  Dr Boyd is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management and is Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.  

Dr Boyd believes in targeting the source of pain and treating with evidence-based strategies.  He is a strong believer in treating physical pain with by using physical techniques by closely working with the other specialist especially Physical Therapist.  He believes it is important to focus on strategies that can be tailored to each individual patient’s needs and values.  Goal is to restore function and quality of life as minimally invasive as possible.  At the same time, coming up with solutions to manage pain that may not be found at other centers.  

Dr Boyd has special interest in treating Spinal Degenerative conditions such as arthritis, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. He also believes in supporting other sources of pain with new innovative technologies such as spinal and peripheral stimulation and nerve ablations along with Regenerative Medicine techniques such as PRP and stem cell therapies.  

Dr Boyd believes so many patients can be simply relieved once they understand their source of pain better.  Then the pain becomes easier to manage.
